The Silence Of The Lambs

The Silence of The Lambs is a 1991 american thriller film, based on the novel written by Thomas Harris and the film was directed by Jonathan Demme. The film stars Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Scott Glenn, Ted Levine.
The film is about a young FBI trainee named Clarice Straling (played by Jodie Foster) seeks the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter (played by Anthony Hopkins) to help apprehend another serial killer, known only as "Bufallo Bill" (played by Ted Levine)


The film earned five Academy Award in 1992. The film won the top five award in Academy Award: Best Picture, Best Actress In A Leading Role (Jodie Foster), Best Actor in A Leading Role (Anthony Hopkins), Best Director (Jonathan Demme), and Best Adapted Screenplay.

1. Anthony Hopkins screen time is only 16 minutes.
2. There were 300 applicants for the role of Clarice Starling, including Geena Davis, Melanie Griffith, and Meg Ryan.
3. Clarice Starling originally played by Michelle Pfeffier, but she turned it down cause she got nervous about the subject matter.
4. In AFI 100 Years... 100 Heroes & Villians, the Character Hannibal Lecter was on the no. 1 Villain List and Clarice Starling was on the no. 6 Heroes List
