Need You Now is a country song recorded by an American country music group Lady Antebellum. The song was written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott (all member of Lady Antebellum) and Josh Kear.
The song was the lead single from their sophomore album, Need You Now.

The lyrics describe placing a call to someone in the middle of the night due to being lonely and longing for companionship. Hillary Scott commented on the song, saying that "All three of us know what it's like to get to that point where you feel lonely enough that you make a late night phone call that you very well could regret the next day." Charles Kelley told The Boot that the band's record executives initially had concerns regarding using the lyrics "I'm a little drunk", but convinced the executives to leave the content in the song.

The song spent five consecutive weeks at number 1 of Billboard Hot Country Songs. The song also peak at number 2 on Billboard Hot 100, it became their highest charting in Billboard Hot 100. The song named the 2nd song of the year in 2010 by Billboard, behind Ke$ha's "TiK ToK". The song is the best-selling country song in US surpassing Taylor Swift's "Love Story", sold over 5,000,000 copies (as of October 2011)

The song recieved many postive reviews from the music critics. The song also received many awards. It recieved 5 Grammy in 53rd Grammy Awards (who also the biggest winner of the night) including Record Of The Year, Song of The Year, Best Country Song, Best Country Performances by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Best Country Album (for the album). The song also received Song of The Year and Single of The Year in 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards.
